*As the Soaring Skydog was blasted with a final explosion of psi-flame and the final balloon of aeronaut’s delight hissed into the atmosphere there was no doubt the day was lost. Screams from the crew rang out as the Skydog hurtled towards the land far below, all hands trying to grasp onto something, some way to escape a firey end. The crunch of the heavy bottomed schooner slamming first through trees and underbrush, then collapsing onto itself in the dark waters of the Salmire Bog was the last sound many of the crew heard in this life.
